Stewart's livestock floats are custom built to suit each customer's requirements. Made of aluminium, they're both strong and lightweight.
Stewart has been manufacturing quality livestock floats for more than two decades. Each float is designed and constructed exactly as the individual customer requires it. Your new float can be built to fit an existing trailer, or can be supplied with a trailer.
Livestock floats for cattle, sheep or pigs start from 16 feet in length. For strength and durability, Stewart favours an all-aluminium, welded container. Aluminium is lightweight but very robust, while the fully-welded design prevents effluent from leaking through into the trailer, and ensures easier cleaning.
Safe and Secure Internal Door System
- Cattle floats have one air vent at roof height.
- They can be supplied with moveable doors or with fixed position doors with slam shut catches.
- The internal dividing doors are made entirely from aluminium. The cattle dividing doors are fabricated using pressed aluminium sheets, and are fitted with a wheel at one end for ease of use.
- The cattle doors can be positioned along the length of the float using the galvanised pins provided. At the most commonly used positions near the centre of the float the holes are reinforced by means of an aluminium bush with a steel insert, and a stop is provided to prevent the door passing the hole when being pushed shut.
Simple and Quick Removal from the Trailer
- The floats are secured to the trailer using four high-tensile securing straps; this system means that the float can be lifted off quickly and easily freeing the trailer for other uses.
- The floats are of a strong, lightweight design and do not require stands, but instead are placed on level ground when not in use.
